The Brit

Solli Engineering provided full site and civil engineering services for The Brit, a transformative mixed-use redevelopment located in the heart of downtown New Britain. The project combines residential, retail, and restaurant space along Main and Bank Streets, supporting the city’s revitalization efforts within the Central Business District and TOD Overlay Zone.

Our scope included site layout, grading and drainage design, stormwater management, utility coordination, soil erosion and sediment control planning, and traffic circulation design. The plan incorporated new underground utilities, ADA-compliant sidewalks, and sustainable stormwater features designed to meet City of New Britain standards. Solli Engineering also led coordination with municipal departments, the Water Pollution Control Authority, and multiple utility providers to deliver a cohesive, urban site design that enhances connectivity, walkability, and downtown livability.
