Flying Cloud Residence

The Solli team provided comprehensive landscape architecture services for this custom waterfront home on Flying Cloud Road in Stamford, Connecticut. The design focused on creating a cohesive connection between the home, outdoor living spaces, and the Long Island Sound waterfront while maintaining privacy and enhancing the property’s overall functionality. The landscape and hardscape design addressed the entry and arrival sequence, privacy buffers to neighboring properties, and seamless access to the waterfront dock. A series of terraced patios were designed, creating multiple outdoor living areas for entertaining and relaxation. These spaces incorporate a custom outdoor kitchen, spa, outdoor shower, and integrated seating walls, forming a layered and functional outdoor environment. The landscape plan also includes a kitchen garden and coastal-inspired plantings selected for their durability in a waterfront environment. These plantings complement the home’s modern colonial architecture while maintaining consistency with the character of the surrounding community.
