Solli Engineering provided traffic engineering services in support of a major commercial redevelopment along U.S. Route 6 (Brooklyn Street) in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. The project required careful coordination within a heavily traveled state corridor under PennDOT District 4 jurisdiction.

Our Traffic & Transportation team prepared detailed Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) to support phased construction activities while maintaining safe and efficient operations along U.S. Route 6. Services included development of temporary lane shift plans, intersection control strategies, and comprehensive construction sequencing to minimize disruption to the traveling public.

Solli designed temporary signage and pavement marking plans in accordance with PennDOT Publication 213 and MUTCD standards and coordinated closely with PennDOT District 4 and local emergency responders to preserve continuous access and emergency response routes. Pedestrian and vehicular detour plans were developed to protect public safety and maintain access to adjacent businesses throughout construction.

Through proactive staging, regulatory coordination, and construction-phase monitoring, Solli successfully maintained continuous two-way traffic operations while securing all necessary PennDOT approvals for temporary traffic control measures.
